Road District

Under the supervision of the Highway Commissioner, the Road District maintains the right-of-way of many streets and assumes several responsibilities in the unincorporated areas. Such responsibilities include:

  • Asphalt patching/re-surfacing
  • Drainage
  • Gravel shouldering
  • Litter pick-up
  • Roadside mowing
  • Road striping
  • Street signing
  • Tree removal
  • Winter snow and ice control

They also offer its unincorporated residents brush pick-up and mulch delivery, by a lottery system, two times a year.

PERMITS are required for all work within the right-of-way and for some projects on private property.
